Biostatistics Summer Internship Program

Eisai offers internship opportunities in various disciplines

POSITION SUMMARY

A limited number of summer internship positions are available in Biostatistics at Eisai Inc. to work on collaborative research projects on aspects of statistical modeling and applying methods to existing databases. The student will gain hands-on experience as a biopharmaceutical statistician and also be engaged in innovative work. The project may involve reading research papers, simulations to assess the performance of commonly used and novel methods, and/or other support tasks in the clinical drug development. Examples include dose selection modeling, adaptive design, Bayesian methods, sensitivity analysis for missing data imputation, survival analysis, pharmacogenomics, and multiple comparisons for subgroups and endpoints. Any other proposal that is related to the candidate's experience and research interest and fits our needs will also be considered. The student will be expected to give an informal presentation about the project to the Biostatistics Group at the end of the internship.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate should be a student with at least a BS in statistics or mathematics, preferably, be enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program in statistics or a related field, and have some knowledge of programming in SAS, R or S-Plus.
